Wallace Fellowships are designed for scholars who explore the historiography and impact of the Italian Renaissance in the Modern Era (19th-21st centuries). Projects could address a range of topics from historiography to the reaction to, transformation of, and commentary on the Italian Renaissance and its ties to modernity. Also welcome are projects on museum and collecting history, and on the survival of the Renaissance in modern art and architecture (including photography and landscape architecture), in literature and music, and in philosophy and political thought.
